I am interested in buying a piece of furniture, emerald rough stone. Is it a "Esmeralda Crystal genuine emerald?
Not I know nothing of precious stones, but I'm attracted to the emerald and id like to have a rough cut stone, but looking online, I'm finding stones as "Terminated Crystal Chivor Emerald" and other names, which makes me a little skeptical about buying because I do not want to spend much money on something that is not 100% genuine emerald. Any help on what to look for and where I could look to find a genuine emerald rough stones in bulk, would be greatly appreciated. Emerald is in fact the stone of Taurus, and id like to get one for my daughter .. Thanks for any help I can give … Regards, Steve
I suspect something labeled glass "Esmeralda." This is probably a substance by humans (such as zirconia and diamond) that gives the appearance of an emerald, but it is quite another thing. You can not call an emerald "because it would be misleading misleading, for what they call an emerald glass to distinguish a true emerald. There are places (Like eBay) that sell "residue" of the emerald mines in which buying a bag of emeralds in the rough is still locked in stone original array. They are considered as a process economic non-mine owners, so they sell them to interested parties. I bought the ruby waste and save on my rock polisher, and I have some small parts that can actually be gem quality. I'll see if I can find a appraiser. I also bought a few residues of the emerald, but the inclusions are clarified, and I should have cut open them to see if they were gem quality. But again, if that's the kind of "rough stone" that you need, you can be who you are looking. It is probably the best source of emeralds difficult for us ordinary people. I wish I could give better information, but I hope that helps.
